Cle Elum, Washington

840 Lannigan Springs Road

We are having our wedding at the soon to be Shuh-Yoakum & Yoakum-Malaspino Property. This 20 acre rustic location is just up the hill from downtown Cle Elum and offers a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Seattle area. The property has a tiny shed, also known as the Shelannigan Shack, made by Kyle, Chrissy, Kyle, Vivian, Kyle, Randy, and Kyle (not really Kevin or Erin…but maybe they did help fund it, and one time Erin did deliver turkey burgers to those working on it…) as well as a single power box and well water supplied via hose.

Never heard of Cle Elum? It’s an old mining and lumber town in Eastern Washington right off I-90 about 90 minutes east of Seattle and 180 minutes west of Spokane. The name means Swift Water and its origins come from the Kittitas tribe, whose members resided in Cle Elum and relied on the nearby Yakima River.
